ShareSaveAdd to CartThe National Pharmacy Association (NPPA) today announced that its members are seeking a “modest” recommendation to recommend the following:
NPPA President and Chairman Dr. Dr. Andrew MacMurdo said that the NPA’s stance on generic sildenafil and tadalafil is an agreement among NPPA members and that the NPA’s stance on both drugs is an agreement between NPPA members and the public.
Andrew MacMurdo, NPhA Vice-Chair of the Board, said: “NPPA represents an excellent resource for the management of the medical community as it provides an opportunity for the public to discuss their concerns and take the necessary action in the future. As we continue to grow, the NPA should be an important resource for the public to share its knowledge, expertise, and recommendations.”
Andrew MacMurdo said that the NPA is committed to a strong pharmaceutical community that supports all of the members of the NPPA to remain involved in the management of their medical condition and to continue to advocate for the safety and effectiveness of the drugs and their generic equivalents. “It is the NPA’s obligation to provide information and support to patients and health care providers that are important to us as they continue to serve the public interest.”
Andrew MacMurdo said that the NPA believes that patients should have access to generic and brand Viagra and generic tadalafil, both of which contain the same active ingredient (sildenafil). The FDA has approved sildenafil in many countries and many states has approved the generic. Tadalafil is a branded version of sildenafil, and the generic sildenafil is a generic version of tadalafil.
Andrew MacMurdo said that the NPA does not believe that the generic sildenafil and tadalafil are appropriate alternatives to the branded medications. The generic sildenafil is available in generic formulations. The generic tadalafil is available in the generic form and is marketed under the name Cialis. It is also sold under the name of brand Viagra. The brand version of the drug sildenafil is available as a prescription drug.
Andrew MacMurdo said that the NPPA believes that the use of the generic form of sildenafil and tadalafil is prohibited by the FDA. The generic tadalafil is available as a generic product and is also marketed under the name of brand Cialis. The generic sildenafil is available in the generic formulation and is sold under the name of Cialis.
Andrew MacMurdo said that the use of generic sildenafil and tadalafil is prohibited by the FDA of the United States and the EU and is also prohibited by the FDA of Canada and the United States of America.
